I know. Dumb mistake. I thought I could plug my guitar amp and make it into the recorder to make music as I am dirt broke to buy a quality sound card. So I tried it.
Let me tell you what happened: plugged a 30W guitar amplifier into my laptop using an Ethernet. Seconds after that I smelt a fume that smelled like the ones you smell when you solder a board.
And then I saw fumes coming out of the place where the Ethernet was plugged (looked like smoke but smelt like the fumes I was talking about just now).
I couldn't plug out the ethernet and I think it melted and stuck to the same place. Not sure. It just won't come out no matter the technique I try to use.
I tried turning on the laptop, and it worked but just emitted more smell of the fumes.
Any ideas or opinions that can help my confused self? Would really appreciate any ideas.
My laptop is an Asus Gaming F15.
Additional: my guitar amplifier had something called FBV Pedal which I plugged the Ethernet into
